Is Munawar Faruqui going to be on Bigg Boss OTT? He responds, also hints about participating in Khatron Ke Khiladi

Ever since Munawar Faruqui became the winner on Lock Upp, his name has been associated with various reality shows. Of course, his name cropped up when it came to Bigg Boss but it was also hinted that Munawar is joining Khatron Ke Khiladi. While he almost confirmed one project, the comedian almost rejected the other.

During his Instagram live – the first one since his Lock Upp win – Munawar spoke about his name being linked to the various reality shows. It was reported that he is likely to be a part of Bigg Boss OTT.

He however almost confirmed that he would not want to do reality shows at the moment and so, Bigg Boss is far from what he wants at this given point. Munawar said that he wants to go back and do stand-up comedy for a while, before diving into another reality show.

Nonetheless, when the comedian heard about his name being linked to Khatron Ke Khiladi, his reaction instantly changed. From stating that he wouldn’t want to do reality shows, he said that he would want to contribute to TV and that kind of a show too. While Munawar did not confirm anything, he did strongly hint that he would not only consider Rohit Shetty’s show but might also be a part of it.

Munawar made his reality show debut with Kangana Ranaut’s Lock Upp. He also made his debut into the film world with the same. Prior to Lock Upp, Munawar did a lot of music videos, composed by himself.

Munawar hasn’t confirmed any of his projects post Lock Upp, so far. The comedian won the show fair and square. Not only did he win the highest votes among the five finalists (Payal Rohatgi, Anjali Arora, Shivam Sharma and Azma Fallah’s votes combined did not make up for Munawar’s votes, which was above 18 lakhs) but Munawar also won the show because Kangana believed he was deserving of the trophy.

Apart from the trophy, Munawar won Rs. 20 lakhs prize money, a trip to Italy and a car. His win became heartwarming since the viewers saw him talk about his dream of buying a car but not having enough savings for it, just a day before the finale when the car was introduced to the kaidis.
