Before Sophie Turner, several Hollywood and Korean stars had already expressed their wish to be part of Bollywood. Now, the Game of Thrones actress has joined them, sharing her admiration for Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and the magic of Indian cinema.
In a new interview with Firstpost, Sophie Turner was asked whether she follows Indian cinema and which actor is her favourite. Expressing her admiration for Indian cinema and Bollywood, Sophie said, "I would love to be a part of a Bollywood movie. I would love to be a part of the song and dance. It’s such a spectacle. It is unlike anything we will ever see on a Western film set." She also said that she loved watching Jr NTR and Ram Charan's RRR.
Showering praise on Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, Sophie added, "That’s tough but Shah Rukh Khan is the GOAT. I love Deepika Padukone. She is amazing."

Sophie Turner has several major projects upcoming, including starring as Lara Croft in the new Tomb Raider series for Prime Video (filming starts 2026) and featuring in the heist thriller series Steal (releasing Jan 2026). .
Shah Rukh Khan's major upcoming film is King, a large-scale action movie directed by Siddharth Anand, set for release in 2026 (with some reports mentioning 2027 due to production delays). Meanwhile, Deepika will also be seen in King alongside SRK.
According to Bollywood Hungama, the production budget for King is estimated at around Rs 350 crore. Additional expenses for publicity, printing and other miscellaneous expenses of Shah Rukh Khan and his team are not included.

When Siddharth Anand came into the picture, he sat down with SRK to make the film on a grand scale, by designing action sequences on a never-before scale. SRK is a producer who loves to spend and treat the audience with the richest visuals on spectacle. He gave Sid a free hand, and the director came back with a budget of Rs. 350 crores," the source mentioned.

Meanwhile, apart from SRK and Deepika, King also stars Suhana Khan, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat, Raghav Juyal, Abhay Verma, and others in key roles.
