Turns out, the buzz on social media about today’s Vikrant Rona announcement, which hinted at a possible collaboration between Salman Khan and Sudeep, was true, after all. Bollywood superstar Salman Khan will present the Hindi version of his Dabangg 3 co-star Kiccha Sudeep’s upcoming fantasy action entertainer, Vikrant Rona. “I am still spell bound by the visuals brother @KicchaSudeep. Happy to present the Hindi version of #VikrantRona the biggest 3D experience in Indian cinema,” wrote the actor on social media. Vikrant Rona is set to release in theatres on July 28. The official social media handle of the film posted, “The biggest entertainer of India @BeingSalmanKhan will present @VikrantRona (Hindi) - the biggest 3D experience in Indian cinema. Proud to be associating with @SKFilmsOfficial.”

Directed by Anup Bhandari, Vikrant Rona is being released in 3D in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and English. Produced by Shalini and Manjunath Gowda of Shalini Artss and co-produced by Alankar Pandian of Invenio Origin, the film has music by B Ajaneesh Loknath and cinematography by William David. The film also stars Nirup Bhandari, Neetha Ashok and Jacqueline Fernandez in pivotal roles.

The team of Vikrant Rona had revealed a promotional tour map earlier, going by which, a lot of exciting announcements and launches can be expected in the days to come, as the film counts down to its July 28 theatrical outing. According to this map, after the teaser, the team is to release three songs, Hey Fakira, Gumma Banda Gumma and the Lullaby song, then a surprise, the Chikki Bombe song, another surprise, The Queen of Good Times song, the trailer and a third surprise before the film’s date with audiences.

The satellite and digital rights of Vikrant Rona have been bought by Zee Kannada and Zee5 respectively, although telecast/streaming dates have not been announced.
