The 2025 Malayalam film Ithiri Neram, which starred actors Roshan Mathew and Zarin Shihab in the lead roles, is all set to make its OTT debut. The film, helmed by director Prasanth Vijay, will drop on Sun Nxt via OTTplay Premium on December 25, 2025, joining the Christmas releases.

Ithiri Neram, which was released in theatres on November 7, 2025, is set to make its OTT debut on Sun NXT within two months of its release. Roshan Mathew’s latest Malayalam film will also be available for OTTplay Premium subscribers from Christmas this year. It is not known at this point if the Malayalam film will be available in other language options.
Currently, no other Malayalam film has announced its digital release for December 25, 2025. But Nivin Pauly's series Pharma will release on JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium on December 19, 2025.
What’s the plot of Ithiri Neram?
The plot of Ithiri Neram revolves around Anish (played by Roshan Mathew) who meets his former lover Anjali (Zarin Shihab), after a hiatus. Their interactions and conversations drive this slow film, as they reflect on their past decisions and rekindle old memories. Prasanth Vijay succeeded in giving a layered tale. Actors Anand Manmadhan and Nandu are also part of the film.

The film won praise for its lead actors’ performances, but went mostly unnoticed by the larger cinema-viewing audiences during its theatrical run in November.
Roshan Mathew’s films
Ithiri Neram marked Roshan Mathew’s second Malayalam film this year after the cop drama Ronth, which also starred Dileesh Pothan. Roshan Mathew also headlined a Hindi series, Kankhajura, streaming on SonyLiv via OTTplay Premium.The actor is now gearing up for the much-anticipated Chatta Pacha, set to release on January 22, 2025.
His co-star Zarin Shihab, best known for the National Award-winning Aattam, was also part of the hit film Rekhachithram albeit in a small but impactful role. Zarin was also part of Ouseppinte Osyath.
