Expectations are running high among the Malayali audience for the much-awaited Malaikottai Vaaliban, starring Mohanlal, with just one day for theatrical release. Meanwhile, they have more cause for celebration, as on January 24, the teasers for Fahadh Faasil’s Aavesham and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, a Hindi movie featuring Malayalam actor Prithviraj Sukumaran in a negative role, were also released.
From the moment the project was announced, there were high hopes for the Lijo Jose Pellissery-directed movie, which starred Mohanlal in a role never seen on screen—a travelling wrestler.
Fans of the actor were going crazy over the prospect of seeing the historical comedy on the big screen on opening day when online booking for it opened a week ago.
On various social media platforms, they have also expressed enthusiasm for Malaikottai Vaaliban and the performance of the Lucifer actor. Many are expecting it to be another hit movie for Mohanlal after the tremendous success of his last film, Neru.
In the teaser of Aavesham, Fahadh takes on the role of Ranga, a man whom college students seek out to protect them from their seniors' threats.
They begin by listening to the story of Ranga's ascent from the perspective of a narrator; none of them have actually witnessed him perform any of the action, but it's a celebrated achievement nonetheless.
With a youthful and talented cast, the teaser suggests another fun-filled entertainer from Romancham-fame Jithu Madhavan. Aavesham's first poster excited moviegoers and fans of Fahadh Faasil because of his quirky appearance.

While Prithviraj Sukumaran's appearance in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan may not have been revealed in it, the teaser opens with the actor giving a powerful dialogue in Malayalam.
While many were excited about Prithviraj's part in the film, others said that they were most anticipating Bade Miyan Chote Miyan because of the Malayalam actor and his ability to perform any role in ease.
The action thriller is one of Bollywood’s highly anticipated films in 2024, starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in lead roles.
