Rumours of Raghavendra Rajkumar’s younger son being launched by the KGF makers have been doing the rounds for a while, and turns out, they are true.

Yuva Rajkumar, the younger son of Raghavendra Rajkumar and the third-generation actor from the Rajkumar family was set to be launched a while ago with a film called Yuva Ranadheera Kanteerava. A video of the debutant actor in a warrior prince look had been revealed at the time. The project, however, did not take off and there’d been no news of a subsequent launch vehicle.
In the last few weeks, though, there’d been a strong buzz that Raajakumara and Yuvarathnaa maker Santhosh Ananddram was making another film with Hombale Films, besides the Jaggesh starrer Raghavendra Stores, considering that the filmmaker was committed to a project with the late Puneeth Rajkumar for the banner. The rumour was that Santhosh was working on a script to launch Yuva Rajkumar, and that the actor even had a special photoshoot for this recently. There was no official confirmation on this, even though it was as good as confirmed when Hombale Films announced their next as ‘A New Era on the Silver Screen’.
A few minutes ago, the production house officially confirmed that their next with Santhosh is indeed the Yuva Rajkumar debut film, which according to the banner was its way of ensuring that the legacy continues. “ಅಭಿಮಾನದಿಂದ ಅಭಿಮಾನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಈ ನಮ್ಮ ಪಯಣ. ಇರಲಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅಪ್ಪುಗೆ The legacy continues…” read the post accompanying an image of Yuva.
Hombale Films, which is fresh off the mega success of KGF: Chapter 2, currently has the Prashant Neel film Salaar with Telugu star Prabhas in the lead in production, while Rishab Shetty’s Kantara and Santhosh’s Raghavendra Stores will be 2022 releases. The banner will also be backing Rakshit Shetty’s next directorial, Richard Anthony and has announced a film with Soorarai Pottru maker Sudha Kongra, which is widely believed to be a film with Tamil star Suriyaa.
