Ever since Nelson Dilipkumar's Jailer hit screens, the film has received a fantastic opening at the box office so much so that the film continues to receive steady footfalls in theatres despite the release of many new films. Jailer has an ensemble star cast which includes Rajinikanth, Shiva Rajkumar, Jackie Shroff, Mohanlal, Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Vinayakan, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi and Tamannaah to name a few.

Jailer sets box office collections soaring

Trade analysts are confident that Jailer will soon join this elite club before the end of its theatrical run and has its digital premiere.

Fans plan huge celebrations
Fans of Rajinikanth are planning celebrations in many theatres in Chennai on the movie's 25th day, which is tomorrow (September 3). The action comedy has music by Anirudh Ravichander,  cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan and editing by R Nirmal. Jailer has emerged as the third highest grossing film of 2023.

Kalanithi Maran honours the team
Buoyed by the film's success, Jailer producer Kalanithi Maran handed over the keys to brand new luxury cars and a whopping amount in the form of cheques to both Superstar Rajinikanth and Nelson Dilipkumar.

Rajinikanth plays a retired police officer Muthuvel Pandian, who is entrusted with the mission of getting hold of a dreaded gang which has escaped the prison. The film has emerged as one of the biggest hits churned out by Sun Pictures.
