Even after two weeks of its release, Jailer continues to attract audiences across south India. The movie is expected to rake in more than 10 crores this weekend. It has surpassed Vikram's gross collection in Tamil Nadu and is only behind Ponniyin Selvan 1 in the state.

The movie has grossed more than 525 crores, according to the official figures posted by Sun Pictures yesterday. The action drama still manages to garner housefull shows in Telugu states, Karnataka and Kerala, too. It is the first Tamil film to have collected more than 50 crores each from all south Indian states.
The Nelson directorial has achieved a huge feat in the popular Rohini theatre in Chennai. The movie is poised to cross more than one lakh footfalls in just 17 days of its release. This is the fifth movie in the digital era to achieve this humongous accomplishment.
The other day, the theatre owner posted that the film has managed to outsmart the footfalls and box office numbers of all the next-generation Tamil stars. A spate of releases are expected to hit the screens in Tamil on September 1. It has to be seen if Jailer could withstand that as well.
Fans are curious to know if the Rajini-starrer could touch 600 crores by the end of its run. They strongly believe that this would have been a cakewalk, had it got a decent release in Hindi markets. However, Jailer is showing no signs of slowing down in southern states.
