Jamie Lee Curtis has her eyes on One Piece live action show. The series has come as a surprise and all otakus have also loved it. The Everything Everywhere All At Once actor is among those who has showered loved upon the show too. She hopes to play a major character who is pivotal to the second season.
Which is this character?
Jamie wants to play Doctor Kureha. She is an old lady doctor who works on Drum Island. Kureha is often regarded as a ‘witch’ because of the watch she practices healing people. Now that the Drum Island arc is here for One Piece, it is incomplete without her.
“ONCE the STRIKE against the greed of the AMTPT is SETTLED with a FAIR CONTRACT, I will lobby along with the growing fan frenzy to become Doctor Kureha in @onepiecenetflix,” the actress shared on social media. This happened after fans hoped to see her on the show.
Makers considering her
The makers have now asked Jamie for a word. Much like the fans, they hope to bring the actress on board. Matt Owens has confirmed the same to various portals. Apart from him, the show is helmed by Steven Maeda. The series is originally from Eiichiro Oda’s manga of the same name. The show was adapted into anime shows and movies, before the live action came out. Eiichiro, in fact, serves as the major creative consultant of the show.
