Janhvi Kapoor: Lot of the attention that has come my way is because of who my parents are

Janhvi Kapoor made her cinematic debut in 2018 with Dhadak, which was produced by Dharma Productions. Since then, the actress has played a variety of parts in films of various genres. At the moment, the actor will be featured in Good Luck Jerry, which will premiere exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar.

In a recent interview with ETimes, Janhvi remarked that she got attention prior to making her debut because she is the daughter of legendary actresses Sridevi and Boney Kapoor. Continuing to say, "Honestly, a lot of the attention and recognition (that) has come my way is, first and foremost, because of who my parents are. I think there's a lot of clarity in identifying that, and I'm not delusional in thinking that I've earned all of it, or that I deserve any of it. But now I have it."

She goes on to state that she understands what she has and that she wants to do excellent work with it since she enjoys her profession. According to Janhvi, she should concentrate on her work and avoid any social media trolling.

The actor further highlighted the pressures of being relevant , up to date and told the daily, "I'm only four years into the industry. If my relevance ends in four years, I shouldn't even try. But I don't know. I actually hadn't thought of it. I just want to do good work."

Khushi Kapoor, Janhvi's younger sister, is currently preparing to make her debut appearance in the Netflix exclusive The Archies.

On the work front, Janhvi is now focusing on Nitesh Tiwari's Bawaal, wherein she co-stars with Varun Dhawan. The film is scheduled to be released in April 2023. She is also collaborating alongside Rajkummar Rao on Mr. and Mrs. Mahi and Sunny Kaushal on Milli.
