Jawan director Atlee reviews Bawaal: 'Great performances from Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor'

Filmmaker Atlee is singing praises for the latest Hindi movie Bawaal , starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles. The film, which premiered directly on Amazon Prime Video, has left Atlee impressed with its great literary quality.

"#Bawaal , a feel-good watch. A great craft in its own novelist way. Felt like reading a book and visualising it. Great performances from all the actors, @Varun_dvn sir has rendered a top notch one in this film. #JanhviKapoor was superb Congratulations to @PrimeVideoIN @niteshtiwari21 and the entire cast and crew," tweeted Atlee.

Varun responded to Atlee's nice words with gratitude and tweeted, "Thank u sir see u sooon." It seems Varun is also hinting that he will soon join forces with Atlee on an upcoming project. 

According to reports, Atlee will be bankrolling Varun's upcoming movie, which is the official remake of the Tamil hit Theri. The 2016 Tamil movie was written and directed by Atlee and it had Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role. The movie's box office success cemented Atlee's position in Tamil cinema and made him a force to reckon with. It's also said the producers have roped in Keerthy Suresh to essay the female lead in the Hindi remake. An official confirmation on the same is awaited. 

Atlee is now busy with his upcoming movie Jawan. The movie will mark his foray into the Hindi film industry. Earlier, he released a teaser for Jawan creating quite an excitement among the movie-goers across the country. The teaser promised that Jawan will show Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan in never-seen-before avatars. The teaser is also packed with enough electrifying moments to ramp up the anticipation around the movie's release. 

Besides SRK, the film also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in the lead roles. The film is due in cinemas on September 7.
