Jayam Ravi, who had no theatrical release for three years, made his fans happy with Ponniyin Selvan 1 last year. He had Agilan and Ponniyin Selvan 2 in 2023, showcasing varied performances in contrasting roles. The announcement of Rajesh's JR 30 (tentative title) and Antony Bhagyaraj's Siren was made a while ago.

Later, it was heard that Vels Film International is joining hands for the second time with him after Comali for a big budget project, titled Genie, to be directed by Bhuvanesh. Iraivan and Jana Gana Mana with Ahmed are other projects he has in his kitty. While the former might hit screens this year, the latter, a spy thriller, has been put on hold for sometime.

We now hear that the actor is teaming up with Nithya Menen for a film which will have Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi at the helm. Red Giant Movies is said to be bankrolling the project.

The names of AR Rahman and Anirudh are doing the rounds with regard to composing music for the love story. Tentatively titled JR 33, this will mark the first collaboration between Ravi and Nithya. It is expected to go on floors after the completion of Genie.

Fans of the star, who are elated with the response his character Arunmozhi Varman garnered in the Mani Ratnam film, are now eager to know when his movies are going to hit screens one after the other.

Keerthy Suresh and Priyanka Mohan are paired opposite the actor in Siren and JR 30 respectively. Kalyani Priyadarshan and Krithi Shetty are likely to come on board in Genie. Nayanthara plays the female lead in Iraivan and Taapsee Pannu is the heroine in Jana Gana Mana.
