Happy Birthday, Jeetendra! The legendary Indian actor, who also serves as the chairman of Balaji Telefilms and Balaji Motion Pictures, is celebrating his 85th birthday today in the presence of his family and close friends. Numerous Bollywood celebrities have greeted him on this joyous occasion. While wishes continue to pour on him, Jeetendra’s children Ekta Kapoor and Tusshar Kapoor have taken to their social media handles and shared a short video of the cake-cutting ceremony from the occasion.
Taking to microblogging site X, Tusshar Kapoor – who is best known for his acting skills in the Golmaal franchise, wrote, “Thank you for all your wishes for dad’s birthday today! It’s hard replying to everyone, but every wish meant a lot to him!” With the message, he attached a 30-second video that showed Jeetendra cutting his birthday cake happily in the presence of Ekta, her son Ravie and Tusshar and his son Laksshya Kapoor.
Speaking from the fashion lens, the family chose to wear everyday outfits. All of them nailed their looks with their precious smiles.
In February, actor Ranbir Kapoor received the Maharashtrian of the Year award at a ceremony in Mumbai. Veteran star Jeetendra also attended the event. After the event, Ranbir was seen walking Jeetendra to his car, engaging in a friendly conversation. Ranbir helped the senior actor in front of the cameras. The video of this development went viral on social media.

Jeetendra and his wife, Shobha, first met when she was just 14 years old. During Jeetendra's early years in the film industry from 1960 to 1966, he was in a relationship with Shobha, who remained his girlfriend until 1972. They decided to get married after the release of the film Bidaai on October 18, 1974 and had a simple ceremony at Janki Kutir with only a few family members and friends present. Jeetendra and Shobha have two children from their marriage. Their daughter, Ekta Kapoor, is the head of Balaji Telefilms, and their son, Tusshar Kapoor, is an actor.
