John Abraham on Pathaan co-star Shah Rukh Khan: He's responsible for where I am

John Abraham is certainly a busy bee in Bollywood. The star, whose latest film Attack hit theatres recently, has a packed schedule this month as he will be busy working on his next project, Pathaan. The film will see him share the screen with Shah Rukh Khan. Abraham recently opened up about working with Bollywood's Baadshah.

In conversation with Pinkvilla, Abraham had nothing but good things to say of his co-star, calling the latter a ‘wonderful person’. "Shah Rukh Khan is, how do I say, he's responsible for where I am,” said Abraham. The Attack actor revealed that in his initial modelling days, Khan had served as a judge in a competition. Although it might have been ‘just another competition’ for Khan, Abraham felt that he owed the former ‘a lot’.

Calling Khan ‘charming’, ‘lovely’ and ‘supremely intelligent’, Abraham revealed that he had deep respect for his co-star, although he couldn't really open up about it. He also called working with Khan on Pathaan ‘an honour’. Abraham added that he would spend the whole of April shooting for the film in Spain.

Khan and Deepika Padukone, who also plays a pivotal role in the film, had recently wrapped up the Spain schedule of Pathaan. Helmed by Siddharth Anand, Pathaan is touted to be a high octane action spy film, which will feature Khan’s return to the big screen after almost 4 years. The star was last seen in 2018’s Zero. Pathaan, produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films, is slated for release on January 25, 2022. The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
