JugJugg Jeeyo: Varun Dhawan says family entertainer is a 'progressive take’ on infidelity

JugJugg Jeeyo has become a highly-anticipated Hindi release, mainly due to its star cast that includes Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. Varun has now stated that the family entertainer is a progressive take on infidelity and divorse. 

"The end of this film is unpredictable. We are used to dealing with the theme of infidelity on a surface level and then brush it under the carpet. In this film, it has been dealt with in a interesting way. It's progressive and a new take. Hopefully, people will be happy with it," Varun Dhawan told during a promotional event as reported by Times of India. 

Director Raj Mehta also stated that the movie does not try to give any answers to the viewers but hopes that the movie’s characters could lead the viewers to some answers. 

The family comedy drama looks to have incorporated all the elements that need to entertain the audience, at the same time giving them something to think about. The movie’s trailer shows us that it revolves around a family, where the son and the father have plans to divorce their partners, but they have to all come together for a family event. 

The movie also marks the big screen return of veteran actor Neetu Kapoor, who was last seen in the 2013 movie Besharam, which stars her late husband and son, Rishi Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor. The movie also features Maniesh Paul and Prajakta Koli in important roles. 

Bankrolled by Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios, the movie is set to hit theatres around the country on June 24.
