Kaattaan OTT release: Where is Vijay Sethupathi’s body? His severed head asks people to search in Manikandan’s series teaser

Kaattaan is an upcoming Tamil web series starring Vijay Sethupathi in the lead role. On Friday, the makers revealed the teaser of the rural action-drama series, before it heads for a digital premiere on JioHotstar. Subscribers of OTTplay Premium will also be able to watch the series soon.

Kaattaan teaser out: What is Vijay Sethupathi’s series about?

As part of JioHotstar’s Tamil content slate, the streaming platform had announced a new Tamil web series titled Kaattaan, which is also known as Muthu alias Kaattaan. With the series soon to premiere on JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium, Kaattaan makers unveiled the teaser on social media.

The teaser begins with a man discovering a severed head, and as he flabbergasted by the head simply resting on the rocks. Meanwhile, the voiceover of the head asks people to search for 'kaattaan' everywhere as we see the head kept safely in a box. Blending absurdity with suspense, the teaser sets the tone for what promises to be one of the most anticipated web series releases of the year. In a darkly comic and quirky narration, Kaattaan is played by Vijay Sethupathi as he urges those around him to help search for his missing body, instantly sparking curiosity and conversation.

What is Kaattaan OTT release date?

Kaattaan is set to premiere on March 27 on JioHotstar via OTTplay Premium. The rural drama action series marks the OTT debut of director Manikandan. The series is created by Manikandan who has also directed it along with B Ajithkumar. The A-rated series will be available in Hindi, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi and Bengali languages.
