Prithviraj’s Kaduva has come face to face with a few legal battles during its production, but the action entertainer is finally ready for its big theatrical release. Prithviraj has now taken to social media to confirm the movie’s official release date with an update.
“#Kaduva in theatres worldwide from 30th June 2022!,” he wrote in a Twitter post, sharing the posters for the movie in the four South Indian languages, confirming that the movie will be released in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil and Kannada. Fans seemed happy about the movie’s multi-language release, with some even asking for the same strategy to be adopted for his upcoming projects.
The movie’s makers recently released the second teaser of Kaduva, which was greeted with mixed reactions. While some fans enjoyed the mass elements in the movie, others felt that it was not up to the mark and had below par background music.
The movie marks the return of director Shaji Kailas, whose last Malayalam movie was Ginger in 2013. Fans have high hopes for the movie as the hitmaker of the 2000’s joins hands with one of the biggest stars in the Malayalam industry today. The movie also marks the reunion of Prithviraj and Kailas, after their 2012 movie, Simhasanam.
Bankrolled by Listin Stephen and Supriya Menon under the banners of Magic Frames and Prithviraj Productions, the action entertainer also stars Vivek Oberoi as the main antagonist. Oberoi last impressed Malayali viewers with his role in Mohanlal’s Lucifer, which was helmed by Prithviraj.
The movie also stars Samyukta Menon, Arjun Ashokan, Siddique, Aju Varghese, Dileesh Pothan and others in important roles. Abinandhan Ramanujam and Shameer Muhammed handle the cinematography and editing, while the music for the movie is composed by Jakes Bejoy.
