The trailer of Pramodh Sundar's Kaliyugam has been unveiled by a few Kollywood celebs. Shraddha Srinath plays the lead in this movie which is set in an unusual backdrop and time period. The promo video reveals that the film's plot is set in the year 2064.

It is a chaotic world where hunger thrives and humanity has almost disappeared. A few people are on a mission to save themselves and fight against poverty and terrorism. They are on the run as some unknown beings are chasing them for their selfish needs. What will be their fate? How are people going to deal with scarcity of water and food?

KS Ramakrishna and K Ramcharan have jointly bankrolled the project under RK International Inc. and Prime Cinemas. It stars Kishore in a key role while Iniyan Subramani, Harry and Asmal are others who will be seen in pivotal characters. Nimz and K Ramcharan have handled editing and cinematography respectively.

Dawn Vincent has helmed music direction and Shakthee Venkatraj M is in charge of art direction. GN Murugan has choreographed action scenes for the film for which Karthik Gunasekaran and Athreyaa have penned dialogues.  

Shraddha was last seen in the Tamil movie Witness which had a direct release on SonyLIV. She was in the news recently when she signed Tollywood project Saindhav starring Venkatesh in the lead. Rudraprayag and Letters to Mr Khanna are other films she currently has in her kitty.

The release date of Kaliyugam is expected to be announced later. PC Sreeram, Anirudh, Vijay Sethupathi, Pushkar Gayatri, Aishwarya Rajesh and Jayam Ravi are a few who unveiled the project's trailer.
