Kamal Haasan in Mumbai for the promotions of Vikram

Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan has jetted off to Mumbai for the promotions of his upcoming project Vikram. The multilingual film is all set to release on June 3 in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. With just three weeks to go, Kamal Haasan has began the promotions for the Hindi version. The actor is joined by his daughter Akshara. Pictures of Kamal Haasan in Mumbai are doing the rounds on the internet.

Vikram is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and is billed as an action thriller. Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil will share screen space with Kamal Haasan in the film. The rest of the star cast includes Antony Verghese, Narain, Kalidas Jayaram, Arjun Das, Gayathrie Shankar, Chemban Vinod Jose, Sampath Ram, Shanvi Srivastava, Shivani Narayanan and Hareesh Peradi. Cinematography is by Girish Gangadharan and editing is by Philomin Raj.

In the meantime, the audio and trailer have been planned to be launched on May 15th at a grand event. Music is by Anirudh Ravichander. Kamal Haasan is said to have a young look in the film and the team has used de-aging technology. Vikram marks Anirudh's second collaboration with Kamal Haasan after Indian 2. This is Fahadh's third film in Tamil after Velaikkaran and Super Deluxe.

The digital rights for the film has been bagged by Disney + Hotstar. The digital streaming partner made the announcement on its social media page, "Here's the #BigAnnouncement #Vikram #DigitalStreamingPartner #DisneyplusHotstar (sic)" 

As part of the film's promotions, the team had designed posters for locomotive trains across India in collaboration with the Southern Railways. Vikram NFTs will be launched at the Cannes Film Festival 2022. Since Kamal Haasan was last seen in Vishwaroopam II in 2018 expectations are riding high on Vikram.
