Kamal Haasan, who voices his opinion on varied issues, had come out in support of the wrestlers' protest a couple of days ago. He has now taken to his Twitter page to write about the new Parliament building which has been hitting headlines for a while.

In a release attached to his tweet, he has written in detail about the pros and cons behind the process involved in the inauguration of the new Parliament. He began the letter by saying that it is a moment of celebration for the entire country and that it moves him with immense pride.

He also congratulated the Government of India for the historic achievement. The Ulaganayagan has requested opposition parties to reconsider their decision to boycott the inauguration and pointed out that there are more reasons for us to unite than leaving us divided.

However, he had expressed disappointment over the President of India Droupadi Murmu not being invited for the never-before-seen event. He requested the Prime Minister of India to invite her to be part of the historic occasion and reminded that the Parliament is no mere ordinary building.

"I call upon the Prime Minister to rectify this oversight, which will go down in history as a grave error, and if rectified will become a milestone in political leadership. Our republic's new home needs all its family members to reside in it," he wrote.

Filmmaker Pa Ranjith was the first person from Kollywood who expressed displeasure over Indian President Droupadi Murmu not being invited for the inaugural function of the Parliament.
