Given that Kaabza ended with the entry of Shivarajkumar's character, it raises the question of whether Chandru will explore this character in the upcoming film or if it's an entirely new project.

Kannada filmmaker R Chandru announced his next project on Monday, headlined by Kannada superstar Shivarajkumar. The upcoming collaboration marks their reunion after a gap of 14 years.
"On the occasion of the completion of 14 years of the Kannada superhit movie Mylari, I am happy to announce my next film with Karunada Chakravarthy Dr. Shivarajkumar. I need all your blessings," Chandru posted on his social media handles.
Mylari stands out as one of the pivotal films in Chandru's career. The 2010 romantic drama became a blockbuster, solidifying Chandru's position in the industry.
However, Chandru refrained from divulging more details about his new project with Shivanna. The question arises: Is this film a sequel to Chandru's last year's Kaabza?
Kaabza was anticipated to be a major success in the Kannada film industry. Chandru and the film's lead star, Upendra, were confident that it would follow in the footsteps of the KGF film series and become a pan-India hit.
However, following the release of Kaabza, all the promises of Chandru fell flat. It was a critical and commercial disaster, failing to recoup even one-third of its massive budget.
Kaabza faced criticism for mimicking director Prashanth Neel's KGF films without offering a compelling story to justify its ambitions. Despite efforts to defend the film, it was labelled as a cheap copy of KGF. However, Chandru seemed unfazed and he doubled down on his creative vision for Kaabza.
Chandru announced that his next film would be Kaabza 2 , promising a grander scale.
Given that Kaabza ended with the entry of Shivarajkumar's character, it raises the question of whether Chandru will explore this character further in the upcoming film or if it's an entirely new project. Only time will tell.
