Karan Johar has averted a clash with Kartik Aaryan’s upcoming movie, Shehzada. The filmmaker has just announced the new release date of Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. Although the reason for the postponement is Alia Bhatt’s pending shoot schedule, the film has definitely avoided clash with the ‘Shehzada.’
Karan took to Instagram to announce the new release date for Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. He revealed that the movie is now postponed to April 28, 2023 release. The movie was going to released on February 10, 2023, along with Shehzada.

The filmmaker wrote about his seventh directorial film with nostalgia. He is proud of the ensemble cast of the movie led by the likes of Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Arjun Bijlani, Shraddha Arya and Sriti Jha are also a part of the film.
Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’s shoot had to be pushed to a new date because Alia Bhatt has just become mother to a baby girl. She plays the lead role of Rani and is yet to shoot a few portions of the film, which she is expected to complete before the promised release date.
Meanwhile, Karan’s warm gestures towards Kartik Aaryan after reports of their rift has created a storm on the internet time-and-again. With his new gesture – co-incidentally paving way for Kartik’s film’s release – the filmmaker has once again proven that there is no bad blood between the two.
Shehzada features Kriti Sanon as the female lead. The movie is helmed by Rohit Dhawan and is the remake of Allu Arjun’s Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. Much like Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, Shehzada is also an ensemble film that features Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Ronit Roy and Sunny Hinduja among others.
