Kareena Kapoor to finally collaborate with Sujoy Ghosh for a thriller

The news of Kareena Kapoor Khan teaming up with director Sujoy Ghosh for a thriller has been doing rounds for a decade, ever since the release of the Vidya Balan starrer Kahaani in 2012. And now, finally, it's happening. The Jab We Met actor will collaborate with the director for a thriller. The film is set to go on floors in February next year. 

The film will be produced by Jay Shewakramani. According to a source who told Pinkvilla, Kareena has been on the lookout for a thriller and her hunt has come to an end with Sujoy's project. "The two are all excited for this collaboration and looking forward to starting shooting for it from February. It will be shot at Darjeeling and Kalimpong in north east India over a period of two months,” revealed the source. The film by the well-known director is said to be loaded with twists and turns.

The cast members also include OTT stars. “While Kareena will be leading the cast, many more acclaimed actors have come on board the film. All key characters have been cast and the team is now expected to proceed towards the pre-production stage in the hills of North East,” the source further said. The film will feature names who have won over the audience with their performances in the OTT world over the last two years.

Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan has recently wrapped up shooting for Laal Singh Chaddha. She will be seen alongside Aamir Khan for the adaptation of Forrest Gump. The film is expected to release on Valentines Day. She also has director Hansal Mehta’s next, which will be produced by Ekta Kapoor. 

There were reports of Sujoy teaming up with Shahid Kapoor for an edge-of-the-seat thriller. However, only time will tell if it is the same film, we'll see Kareena Kapoor on.
