Karisma Kapoor kickstarts Abhinay Deo's Brown, see photo

Karisma Kapoor made her come back into acting after a long time in 2020 with an ALTBalaji and ZEE5 series, Mentalhood. Post that she was seen in a few reality shows such as Indian Idol (Season 12) and Super Dancer (Chapter 4) as guest appearances. Now, the Bollywood diva is back with another series called Brown.

The actress took to social media and shared the news on her official Instagram handle. She shared an image that features her behind a clapperboard, on which the name of the project is mentioned. Karisma mentioned in the caption, "To new beginnings #brown (sic)."

According to an earlier report in PeepingMoon, Karisma is set to essay a strong-willed woman caught in a terrifying circumstance. Abhinay Deo, the filmmaker of Delhi Belly, is directing this female-driven story. Meanwhile, from the latest social media post by the Raja Hindustani actress, it is sure that the series has now gone on floors.

According to the news portal, apart from Karisma, the yesteryear diva Helen is set to play an important character. The iconic actress is making a comeback after a decade after appearing last in the Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Heroine, which has been directed by Madhur Bhandarkar.

Apart from Karisma and Helen, the upcoming series also has the Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein actor Surya Sharma in a key role. The makers have not unveiled the date of release of Brown as of now.

Meanwhile, the actress' last web series Mentalhood can be streamed on Alt Balaji and ZEE5. The Hindi drama series, which follows the tale of the multitasking nature of various sorts of women and their approaches to providing the finest upbringing for their children, also has Sanjay Suri, Dino Morea, Sandhya Mridul, Shilpa Shukla, Shruti Seth, Tillotama Shome and Amrita Puri.
