The audio launch of Karthi's upcoming film, Viruman was held recently in Madurai. Soon after the audio launch, Karthi is said to have visited the Madurai Meenakshi Amman temple in the city. A video of the actor walking inside the temple has surfaced on the internet. It is said that Karthi visited the temple to seek blessings of the goddess ahead of the release of his rural entertainer. Fans of the actor were in for a pleasant surprise when they saw one of their favourite actors in the temple. Some of them even managed to get some pictures clicked with the star.

The Viruman audio launch was a star-studded affair as the entire cast and crew, including Suriya, too was present at the do. The brothers turned up at the event in a traditional attire and were seen conversing on the stage much to the delight of the audience. The brother duo, Suriya and Karthi are about to share screen space soon with a spin-off of Lokesh Kanagaraj's Kaithi where there will be a face-off between their characters Rolex (Vikram) and Dilli (Kaithi). Karthik jocularly stated that there has been many face-offs between the brothers while growing up as they would fight with each other.  

Viruman is a rural entertainer which has Karthi teaming up once again with Muthaiah. The duo had earlier worked together in Komban, which was also a rustic, rural flick. Viruman marks the debut of director Shankar's daughter Aditi. The trailer of the film was released recently and has already got more than 4 million views since release. Karthi stated at the audio launch that he will be seen in a hyper local avatar in the film and will be playing Prakash Raj's son. He also revealed that his father was his biggest villain in the film and that it was a fabulous experience working with the likes of Prakash Raj. The venue of the audio launch too, was decorated with the props used on the sets of the film, much to the delight of the audience.
