Kartikeya Gummakonda, the actor who shot to fame with films like RX100, Gangleader and Chaavu Kaburu Challaga, is next teaming up with DJ Tillu-fame actress Neha Sshetty for a comedy. The makers of the film today announced its title - Bedurulanka 2012. The film, written and directed by Clax, is bankrolled by Ravindra Benerjee Muppaneni under Loukya Entertainments.

Ravindra Benerjee, in the past, was also one of the producers of the National Award-winning film Colour Photo. The film’s title was announced today, commemorating Kartikeya’s birthday. The team revealed that Bedurulanka 2012 is a comedy drama shot amidst a Godavari backdrop. The first look of the film will be unveiled shortly, they added.

The third schedule of Bedurulanka 2012 was completed recently, shot at scenic locations in the vicinity of Yanam, Kakinada and Godavari. The last schedule of the comic caper too is expected to be finished shortly. Mani Sharma is composing the music for the film. There will be five songs in the album on the whole, including a number by late lyricist Sirivennela Seetharama Sastri.

Director Clax reveals that his debut project iOS a dramedy that’ll showcase Kartikeya in a new light. The film has a story that’s largely set in a village and has abundant scope for fun and emotions, he said. “This is a content driven film and has a strong comedy track. Kartikeya will be seen as a happy go lucky youngster who is forced to mend his ways by the society.”

The supporting cast of Bedurulanka 2012 includes Ajay Ghosh, Satya, Raj Kumar Kasireddy, Srikanth Ayyengar, 'Auto' Ram Prasad, Goparaju Ramana, LB Sriram, Surabhi Prabhavathi, Kittayya, Anithanath and Divya Narni. Sai Prakash Ummadisingu, and Sunny Kurapati have cranked the camera for the film that’s being edited by Viplav Nyasadam. Sudheer Macharla is the production designer.
