Kasargold's 'Thanaro' sees Asif Ali grooving in this celebration song

Asif Ali's upcoming movie Kasargold is a crime drama. The makers have just released a video song from the movie called Thanaro. The song, composed by Niranj Suresh, is in folk music style that is commonly heard in Kerala.

The song's lyrical video was released earlier, with people enjoying themselves in a bar while singing the song. Asif, who plays the lead role in the film, is seen entering the bar in search of someone. The mood of the song changes to a more gripping rhythm as Asif embarks on his quest to find the person he is looking for.

Asif is looking for someone in the bar as he moves to the music. His retro look is a highlight of the song. The energetic music and frenzied ambience make for a great dance number. Towards the end, we see Asif grooving to the song, which will appeal to his fans, since he has not been seen in such roles recently.

The teaser and posters of the film hint that it is a dark action film, and the song confirms that the film will be a gripping one.

Kasargold's cast and crew

Kasargold is helmed by Mridul Nair, who is known for his campus thriller, B Tech. Mridul is joining hands with Asif for the second time in Kasargold. Sunny Wayne, who previously shared screen with Asif in Kuttavum Shikshayum and Mosayile Kuthira Meenukal, is also a.part of Kasargold.

Vinayakan, who is currently basking in the success of Jailer, will be also seen in a prominent role. Malavika Sreenath is the female lead of the film, which also has Shine Tom Chacko, Geethi Sangeetha, Deepak Parambol, and Siddique. Kasargold will hit theatres on September 15. 

Asif Ali's upcoming projects

Meanwhile, Asif Ali's upcoming releases include Otta, the directorial debut of Oscar-winner Resul Pookutty . The film is a biographical drama based on the book Run Away Children. Arjun Ashokan, Sathyaraj, Rohini Molleti and Renji Panicker also play pivotal roles in Otta.

Asif's other project is Kishkindha Kaandam, in which Aparna Balamurali essays the female lead. The shooting of the film has been completed.
