The popularity of the Kannada Film Industry is on the rise and the fact that the region's superstars are endorsing global brands today enunciates just that. Rocking Star Yash's latest brand deal has him exclaim Rise Up! to not only his millions of fans but also the naysayers and critics that he is surrounded by. Yash joins the league of Sachin Tendulkar, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Salman Khan several other generational superstars through the endorsement and his people back home are sure to feel proud of how far he has come as an actor.

But, as the tradition with dark-hued carbonated drinks goes, the KGF 2 actor has to be pitted against a star of similar stature and who better than Kiccha Sudeep? The Vikrant Rona actor may not have a monumental success like K.G.F: Chapter 2 in his repertoire but the fandom he boasts is as dedicated and passionate as any superstar his or her salt. Sudeep took to social media very recently to share a not-so-cryptic post regarding a certain 'Toofani' cola drink that he is going to endorse and his fans, for obvious reasons, aren't able to keep calm.

And in the same vein have come the ritualistic comparisons between Yash and Sudeep with the latter's fans now deeming his swagger to be superior. "rise up ಅಲ್ಲ babe Toofan," said a social media user to put things in context and also celebrate the fact that Kiccha Sudeep has now his own version of Toofan to his name (Toofan also happens to be the Rocky Bhai anthem from KGF 2).

Well, regardless of whether we choose to rise up or be swept away by a Toofan, Kannada cinema's pan-India exports are certainly making the best of the current wave of popularity. The very effervescent Rashmika Mandanna, who began her journey with Kirik Party, has a popular soft-drink endorsement to her name as well which means there is a lot to celebrate as far as Kannada representation is concerned.

On the work front, Kiccha Sudeep has promised to share a crucial update regarding his next (Kiccha 46) on June 1. Yash, on the other hand, has been away from all the clamour concerning his next film, but it stands almost confirmed at this point that he will be working with Malayalam filmmaker Geetu Mohandas on the highly-anticipated 'Yash 19' project.
