In July this year, Karan Johar reportedly cast Pratibha Ranta, who appeared in Laapataa Ladies and Konkona Sensharma, for a project he was working on. Anubhuti Kashyap, renowned for her work on Doctor G (2022), is on track to direct an untitled film that seems to be moving quickly. The filmmaker is aiming to launch the initiative in Poland in November, according to Midday's sources.
Reportedly, Kashyap has settled on a romance drama scripted by Yash Keshwani and Sima Agarwal for her second feature film directing effort. The filmmaker has scheduled a rigorous 30-day filming session in Poland.
The source told the tabloid that the pre-production will begin shortly after the final cast is cast. Next week, Anubhuti and the rest of the production crew will go on the recce. The plan is to set the unfolding story against the stunning natural scenery of the nation, which has received little attention in Hindi movies. In this segment, the majority of the outdoor filming will take place.
Before her 2022 theatrical debut, Doctor G, came out, Kashyap had already signed with Dharma Productions. She had planned to star Ishaan Khatter and Triptii Dimri in her previous romantic comedy under the banner, but the film never received the green light for unspecified reasons. The relationship between two women is supposedly at the heart of her most recent work, which is a progressive narrative. Pre-production on the film has already started, with production set to commence in September or October of 2024.
After collaborating on films and series such as Guilty, Ajeeb Daastaans, Searching for Sheela, Meenakshi Sundareshwar, Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, and The Fame Game with Netflix India, Dharmatic Entertainment has now announced its seventh streaming service project. Following Cargo, Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare, Ajeeb Daastaans, and Killer Soup, Konkona Sen Sharma's fifth film for Netflix will be this collaboration with Dharmatic.
Meanwhile, Konkona's fans are eagerly anticipating Metro... In Dino, an anthology film by Anurag Basu. She is currently negotiating a thriller project with Junglee Pictures and filming a short film, Chashma, under the direction of renowned editor Nitin Baid. Pratibha Ranta has also committed to a romance film with Vikrant Massey, which must be a source of immense joy for her following the huge success of Kiran Rao's Laapataa Ladies.
