Kuttey trailer: Konkona Sensharma says she was excited to be a part of the film because of the kick-ass script

National Award-winning actress Konkona Sensharma plays a pivotal part in the upcoming black comedy Kuttey, which also stars Naseeruddin Shah, Kumud Mishra, Arjun Kapoor, Tabu and Radhika Madan.

With the film is gearing up for release next month, the makers unveiled the trailer at an event in Mumbai on Tuesday, which was attended by the actors and the crew. This included debutant director Aasmaan Bhardwaj, the son of veteran filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj who is one of the producers of the film.

During an interaction with the media, Konkona was asked what made her want to be a part of the film. Konkona said, "I was excited to be part of this film, first because Aasmaan has written a kick-ass script. It is a superb script. It is so modern and unlike the things that I read usually. I had to read it a couple of times to get a better understanding of the story. It is a really complex, interesting and smartly-written story. So, obviously I was very happy to be in it. I got to work with a wonderful cast and brilliant team."

In the trailer, the actress is seen as a rebel, holding firearms, and mouthing long, Hindi dialogues. About this, Konkona said, "Those lines that you see in the trailer - those are really long Hindi lines that I had to learn. I was very nervous, but I knew that I was in good and safe hands, so I was very pleased."

Directed by Aasmaan Bhardwaj and produced by Vishal Bhardwaj, Bhushan Kumar and Luv Ranjan, with lyrics written by Gulzar, Kuttey is releasing in theatres on January 13, 2023.
