There is little more than a month left for Prithviraj Sukumaran’s L2 Empuraan, starring Mohanlal, to make its grand release in theatres. But director Prithviraj has been giving us sneak peeks into the world of Lucifer’s second instalments by introducing various characters. The latest actor revealed to be part of L2 Empuraan is Nikhat Khan Hegde, who is also Bollywood star Aamir Khan's sister. Here’s everything we know about the latest update from L2 Empuraan.
Prithviraj has been introducing various characters of his much-anticipated L2 Empuraan over the past few days. The Lucifer director has now lifted the curtains on the 14th character, revealing her to be Nikhat Khan Hegde, the sister of Aamir Khan. She will be seen as Subhadra Ben in the Mohanlal-starrer. In the poster released by Prithviraj on his Instagram handle, Nikhat was seen in a traditional look, exuding regal vibes.
Though no other details about her character were revealed, her traditional attire and the name hint that she could be playing a character from the western part of the country. The team of L2 Empuraan had also reportedly travelled to Gujarat for shooting, hence adding to the speculation.

Nikhat Khan Hegde is a film producer and actress. Despite belonging to a film family and the sister of Aamir Khan, Nikhat Khan started acting in films in the last couple of years only. She has been part of a handful of Hindi films and series. Nikhat has also featured in Pathaan, starring Shah Rukh Khan along with Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. Nikhat will also be seen in a guest appearance in Aamir Khan’s much-awaited Sitaare Zameen Par. Nikhat Khan is married to Santosh Hegde.
Meanwhile, L2 Empuraan, the second installment in the Lucifer trilogy, will release in theatres worldwide on March 27, 2025. Mohanlal headlines the film, which also stars Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran, and Manju Warrier. Prithviraj Sukumaran will also be seen in a key role in the film.
