L2 Empuraan countdown begins: Prithviraj drops uber-cool poster of Mohanlal, fans can’t keep calm

L2 Empuraan is all set for its big release in March 2025, and Prithviraj Sukumaran is keeping the buzz alive with several updates and character introductions. In the latest update, Prithviraj has shared a new poster of Mohanlal from the second installment of the Lucifer franchise and fans can’t keep calm.

Mohanlal in new Empuraan poster

On Friday, Prithviraj Sukumaran took to his social media handles to share a poster of Mohanlal, aka Khureshi-Ab'raam, from Empuraan. In the poster, a stylish Mohanlal is about to exit from a helicopter. The Malayalam superstar is seen in complete black attire, sporting a bearded look. The chopper and the cars in the background are also in black. Sharing the poster, director-actor Prithviraj wrote on social media - “33 days to touch down”.

Fans react to Mohanlal in L2E poster

Soon after Prithviraj dropped the dapper poster of Mohanlal, fans started flooding the comment box with fire emojis. One fan commented “The King of Mollywood is Coming”, while some netizens also praised ‘fanboy’ Prithviraj for presenting the Malayalam superstar in the best way possible.

Mohanlal’s look from the latest poster is that of Khureshi-Ab'raam. For the unversed, Mohanlal played the role of Stephen Nedumpally in Lucifer but the character reveals himself to be Khureshi-Ab'raam towards the end, setting the stage for part 2. Empuraan is likely to reveal more about the character. Notably, Stephen donned the politician's all-white attire, while Khureshi was seen in black outfits complete with shades.

After the Khureshi-Ab'raam poster was shared, some netizens also started comparing between both the characters from the two films. Lalettan fans are predicting a blockbuster opening, with some saying that all records will fall before Stephen.

L2 Empuraan release

L2 Empuraan is set for a grand release on March 27, 2025, in Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Hindi. Murali Gopy has written this film, which is undoubtedly the most-anticipated movie from Malayalam this year.
