Laal Singh Chaddha seems to be a film that is nothing short of a labour of love for Aamir Khan. On more than one occasion, the star has opened up about the difficulties involved in getting the film made, from acquiring the rights to the work involved after the film went on floors. The makers recently unveiled a BTS video which shows a small glimpse of the tremendous effort put into making the film.

The BTS video was shared by Aamir Khan Productions on their official social media handles. The clip tries to encompass the entire journey of Laal Singh Chaddha, starting right from scouting for locations to table reads to COVID testing to filming some important sequences. We see the cast and crew brave the elements as they shoot pivotal scenes across different landscapes, ranging from snow clad valleys to sandy beaches. Some tricky shots in particular seemed to have taken quite a lot of effort indeed, but we see the crew persevering to get it right nonetheless. The cast and crew also share some delightful moments behind the scenes as well.

Earlier, Aamir had spoken to IANS about how the film took almost 14 years to reach completion. The actor had spent almost a decade alone to get the rights to adapt Forrest Gump, the Academy Award winning Hollywood film Laal Singh Chaddha is based on. Even after securing the rights, the filming was affected by several snags caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The film’s release also had to be rescheduled as well.

Laal Singh Chaddha will hit the silver screens on August 11.
