Koffee With Karan 7’s latest episode brewed some more gossip and a lot more speculations. Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, who embraced the Koffee couch this time, have left the netizens speculating. Aamir made a statement that has left people convinced that Manushi Chhillar was being considered for Laal Singh Chaddha.

Manushi, who made her debut with Samrat Prithviraj opposite Akshay Kumar, might have actually been considered for Laal Singh Chaddha. Since she fits in the perfect age bracket that Aamir described (25 year-old), netizens are convinced that Manushi was going to be a part of Forrest Gump’s Hindi adaptation.

Aamir revealed that he and director Advait Chandan decided to cast a 25-year-old because she could play either an 18-year-old or 50-year-old and still look convincing. They had a name in mind and then saw her ad. This ad also featured Kareena Kapoor Khan and while this actress was good, Aamir and Advait turned to each other and said ‘Kareena.’ That is how Kareena was finalized as the female lead of the film.

“We were stuck in that 25, which was a stupid thing. She too can get de-aging with me and whatever is required and I’m so glad we saw that ad because I cannot imagine anyone else in this role other than Kareena,” Aamir further shared.

Manushi had not even been finalized for Samrat Prithviraj back then. Currently, the actress has only appeared in that film.

Meanwhile, Laal Singh Chaddha will release in theatres on August 11. The film also stars Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya in pivotal roles. It marks Chay’s Bollywood debut.
