Aamir Khan is only days away from making his comeback to the big screens and the audience is steadily growing excited about the release. The actor’s passion project Laal Singh Chaddha has taken a lot of time in its making with the whole cast and crew enduring the harshest of physical conditions – not ignoring the travails caused by the pandemic. And revealing just the lengths to which the entire team of Laal Singh Chaddha went during the making of the film, Aamir Khan has shared a special BTS video that presents a glimpse of the entire journey.
The video traverses the long journey of the making of Laal Singh Chaddha which comes as an official adaptation of the Hollywood classic Forrest Gump (based on Winston Groom’s novel of the same name). Those who have seen the Tom Hanks starrer can attest to the fact that the film spans close to three decades exploring the vast landscape of America: from the Vietnam war to the Watergate Scandal of the early 1970s, the narrative brims with many iconic moments of the shaping of the nation. Going by this, one can assume that the Hindi remake will feature similar vibrant sequences with Aamir Khan playing Hanks’ part and Kareena Kapoor as Robin Wright’s counterpart.
The BTS video showcases the entire process of making Laal Singh Chaddha in a nutshell. Right from the script discussions between actor-producer Aamir Khan, screenwriter Atul Kulkarni (Khan’s costar from Rang De Basanti), and director Advait Chandan to the production units striving hard in the most extreme of weather conditions. The video glimpse also features the film's core cast, including Kareena Kapoor, Mona Singh, Naga Chaithanya, and others.
Earlier slated to release on April 14, Laal Singh Chaddha’s theatrical release was postponed due to box office clashes with other big films. The film will be out in theatres worldwide on August 11.
