Aamir Khan's Laal Singh Chaddha and Akshay Kumar's Raksha Bandhan are two highly anticipated films of 2022, which are set to clash at the Box Office on August 11. Although, the Hindi remake of Tom Hanks' Forest Gump was earlier slated to release on April 14th however, in February over a social media post the Dhoom 3 actor has informed his fans about the latest release date. Meanwhile, on June 16, Khiladi Kumar shared a new promo from his film and announced its date of release.
On February 15 the Aamir Khan Productions announced the new release of their film in a post. A part of the note reads, "This is to announce that our film, Lal Singh Chadda, will not be releasing on 14th April as planned. This is because we are unable to complete the film in time. The film will now be releasing on 11th August 2022 in theatres worldwide. We would like to thank Mr Bhushan Kumar t series Om Rawat and the entire team of Adipurush from the bottom of hearts (sic)."
The IG post also mentioned that due to Laal Singh Chaddha, the makers of Aadipurush have decided to shift the release of their film.

Meanwhile, in a recent post on his official Instagram handle =, Akshay announced that Raksha Bandhan is set to release on August 11. The special caption reads, "Bringing you all a story of the purest form of bond that will remind you of yours! #RakshaBandhan releasing in cinemas on 11th August, 2022. #ReturnToFeelings #RakshaBandhan11August (sic)."

Apart from Aamir, Laal Singh Chaddha also has a huge ensemble of stars including Kareena Kapoor Khan in a major role with Naga Chaitanya, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan in special appearances.
Meanwhile, Raksha Bandhan stars Bhumi Pednekar opposite Akshay.
Reportedly, the audiences are anticipating a huge clash between the two stars' films. Any prediction on Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan's box office collection seems uncertain.
