Divi Vadthya is a popular name in Telugu cinema. She sizzled in Bigg Boss Telugu and made heads turn with her glamour. She has been doing small roles in Telugu movies for the last few years and turned lead heroine in the social drama Lambasingi. Directed by Naveen Gandhi, Divi played a Naxallite in the film and her performance was hugely appreciated.

The latest update is that Disney+ Hotstar has bagged the OTT rights to the film and will stream Lambasini starting April 2, 2024. The film will be out on OTT within two weeks of its release, as the makers struck a deal with Hotstar for an early OTT release.

We have also come to know that the makers ended up making decent profits thanks to this OTT deal. Anand Thanniru produced this film on a very low budget and ended up making a profit thanks to the various post-release deals for the film. The word is also that the satellite rights of Lambasingi have also been sold to Star Maa for a decent price.
The gritty visuals and hard-hitting dialogue were lauded by the critics but the narration by Naveen Andhi was bland. Bharath Raj, a young and upcoming actor in Telugu cinema, played the main lead, and his chemistry with Divi was impressive in the film.
Lambsingi is a romantic drama and the main lead gets cheated in the name of love. The one he ends up loving turns out to be a Naxallite who fights for various social causes in the backward areas of Andhra Pradesh.
Divi promoted the film on an aggressive note but sadly, the film did not impress the audience and was out of theatres in the first week of its release. The news is that a few scenes are being added for the digital release and we need to see how much this film impresses in its OTT outing. Watch this space for more updates.
