Tovino Thomas' Identity is an upcoming action thriller mounted on a large scale. The film is all set to go on floors later this month, and the latest reports suggest that the makers have roped in stunt choreographer Phoenix Prabhu for the action sequences of the film.
Phoenix Prabhu is known for his work in Sivakarthikeyan's superhero film Maaveeran. He has also choreographed action sequences for Malayalam films like Neymar and Vedikkettu. Earlier, there were rumours about a Hollywood stunt director being onboarded.
Identity is directed by Akhil Paul and Anas Khan, who helmed Tovino's investigation thriller, Forensic. The directors had revealed that, despite having an investigation track, Identity is an action movie. Of the 90 days of shooting, 25 days will be dedicated to shooting action sequences.
In an interview with OTTplay, Akhil said that the film will be simultaneously released in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
Trisha and Vinay Rai in Identity
Identity is Trisha's third Malayalam film; she was last seen in Nivin Paly's Hey Jude. She is also a part of Jeethu Joseph's film with Mohanlal, Ram, the shooting of which is yet to be completed. Trisha has replaced Padmini actress Madonna Sebastian in Identity.
Vinay Rai, who is known for his negative roles in Thupparivaalan and Nelson's Doctor, also plays a pivotal role in Identity. Vinay was last seen in Mammootty's action thriller, Christopher.
Cinematographer Akhil George and editor Chaman Chakko, who was a part of the hit film 2018: Every One is a Hero, are also part of Identity's crew.
Tovino Thomas' upcoming projects
Tovino's upcoming release is the period action film Ajayante Randam Moshanam, in which he will be seen in a triple role. Directed by Jithin Lal, it will be a pan-India release. Sathyaraj is the villain in Ajayante Randam Moshanam.
Tovino is currently filming Lal Jr's Nadikar Thilakam, which also stars Soubin Shahir. Tovino recently met with an accident on the set of the film and had to be admitted to a hospital. Billed as a fun entertainer, Nadikar Thilakam revolves around the life of an actor.
