Laththi: Vishal suffers injuries while filming stunts; to continue filming final schedule in March

Vishal is certainly hard at work these days, especially, when it comes to his upcoming action thriller Laththi. Only a few months ago, the star had opened up about how he and the film’s crew had worked non-stop for 24 hours straight to wrap up t he film’s third schedule, which featured what he described as a ‘high octane stunt sequence’. And now, the star has pushed himself to his breaking point yet again it seems, sustaining injuries while filming for another stunt in the film.

The actor took to his official social media handles to share the news. He revealed that he had sustained several hairline fractures while filming a stunt sequence, and that he would be leaving for Kerala to rest and heal. He also assured fans that he would be joining the rest of the crew to work on the film’s final schedule in the first week of March itself.

The star also attached a video clip of the sequence he had injured himself on. In the BTS video, the actor is seen dressed in khaki with a child in his arms. The setting seems to be a building with incomplete construction, and the actor jumps into a net and does a crash landing. In the next scene, we see him being treated for the injuries he suffered while filming the scene.

Vishal will play a police officer in the upcoming film, the premise of which is touted to be a revenge tale. Sunainaa, who will also play the role of a police officer, will be the female lead. The film will mark the directorial debut of A Vinothkumar. Ramana and Nandaa Durairaj have produced the film.
