The FDFS of the much-anticipated Tamil film Leo will begin in 12 hours' time in various locations worldwide. Fans of Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj are excited to the core and are eager to know if the movie is connected with the director's previous films.

Udhayanidhi Stalin's unexpected tweet in the morning has sent fans into a tizzy. His appreciation for the action drama has escalated the hype for the project even further and there is insane demand for tickets everywhere. The film is poised to register record openings in almost every territory.

Leo registers THIS record in the European region

The European distributor for the film has been winning the support of fans ever since they opened advance booking a few weeks ago. This helped the movie attain a record in the UK among Indian projects in terms of opening and pre-sales.

They have now announced that Leo is the first Indian film to be released in 37 countries in the European continent. This includes Germany, Russia, Hungary, Austria, Belgium, Iceland, Spain, Norway, Italy, Ireland, Finland, Netherlands, Malta and Slovenia among other countries.

First day overseas gross likely to be an all-time record

It is estimated that Leo will collect more than 50 crores on its first day from overseas markets. The actual figures will be out by tomorrow evening. The movie is likely to set a new benchmark for Indian projects as far as opening is concerned.

The overall day-one numbers are said to be more than 125 crores. The lack of permission to hold early morning shows in Tamil Nadu will be a spoilsport, though. All eyes are now on the worldwide box office figures which is expected to be out on Friday morning.
