Baazigar (Prime Video)


Venus Movies produced and Abbas-Mustan directed the 1993 romantic thriller Baazigar. Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Shilpa Shetty (making her film debut), Johnny Lever, Dalip Tahil, and Siddharth are the main actors, while Raakhee makes a cameo appearance. Anu Malik composed the music for it. Unofficially adapted from the 1991 film A Kiss Before Dying, the plot follows a young guy who resorts to crime in his quest for revenge for his family's downfall.

Shah Rukh Khan's character Ajay Sharma swears vengeance for his father Vishwanath (Anant Mahadevan) after his scheming employee Madan Chopra (Dalip Tahil) steals his company. In order to woo Seema's (Shilpa Shetty) father and sister, Priya (Kajol), Ajay, who is secretly seeing Madan's daughter, poses as businessman Vicky Malhotra. Ajay plans to marry into Madan's family in order to exact revenge after killing Seema and making her death appear to be a suicide.

Main Khiladi Tu Anari (Prime Video)

Sameer Malkan directed the action comedy film Main Khiladi Tu Anari in 1994. The scriptwriting credit goes to Sachin Bhowmick. The film's primary cast comprised Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Shilpa Shetty, and Raageshwari; supporting cast members were Shakti Kapoor, Johnny Lever, and Kader Khan. It went on to become one of India's top five grossing films of 1994. After a prominent criminal (Shakti) murders his brother (Mukesh Khanna), a police officer (Akshay) seeks revenge. When a matinée movie star (Saif) starts to accompany a police officer in order to prepare for a film role, difficulty arises. Shilpa Shetty plays the double roles of Mona, a cabaret dancer, and Basanti.

Jaanwar (ZEE5 [OTTplay Premium]; Prime Video; ShemarooMe [OTTplay Premium])

Based on a screenplay by Robin Bhatt and K.K. Singh, Suneel Darshan writes, directs, and produces the action drama Jaanwar. Shilpa Shetty, Akshay Kumar, and Karisma Kapoor are the main actors in the film. Orphaned Babu (Akshay Kumar) takes shelter with Sultan (Shakti Kapoor), a local gangster, after his mother dies of famine. Badshah, a terrifying man with a checkered past, is Babu's adult self. After a near-miss during a shop heist, he stumbles onto Sapna (Karisma Kapoor), a street performer in tattered clothes, begging for money. Sapna feels touched by his gentlemanly demeanour as he helps her. Babu quickly finds love and decides to stop being a crook, but Sultan shows up again to bring up his history. Will Babu's love for Sapna lead him to remain honest, or will he revert to his criminal ways?

Dhadkan (YouTube)

Ratan Jain produced and Dharmesh Darshan directed the 2000 musical romantic drama Dhadkan. Akshay Kumar, Shilpa Shetty, Suniel Shetty, and Mahima Chaudhry are the main actors. The film, based on the novel Wuthering Heights, also features Sharmila Tagore, Parmeet Sethi, Kiran Kumar, Sushma Seth, and Manjeet Kullar in supporting roles. Here is how the story develops: Despite Anjali's (Shilpa's) strong feelings for Dev (Suniel), her family insists that she marry Ram (Akshay) instead. Dev returns to Anjali's side years later, but by that point, she's fallen for Ram.

Because Anjali comes from a wealthy family and Dev does not, her family forbids the marriage and instead arranges for her to marry Ram, who is just as wealthy as her and lives with his heartless stepmother and siblings. Anjali disregards Ram's disrespect because she doesn't love him. Anjali keeps thinking about Dev, even though Ram is still quite affectionate with her and his family. Then Ram takes a stand, demanding that his relatives stop bothering him and his wife. As Anjali grows fond of Ram, Dev shows up—but he's a multi-millionaire, cunning, and hell-bent on winning Anjali over by any means necessary—rather than the poor Dev she knew before.

Indian (Prime Video; ZEE5 [OTTplay Premium])

N. Maharajan and Dharmendra, under the Vijayta Films banner, made the action flick Indian in 2001. The film features Sunny Deol, Shilpa Shetty, Danny Denzongpa, Raj Babbar, Mukesh Rishi, and Rahul Dev; it is a remake of the director's own Tamil film, Vallarasu.

Anjali (Shilpa) is DCP Rajashekhar Azad's (Sunny) wife, and they have two children together. Rajashekhar finds out that his father-in-law, DGP Surya Pratap Singh (Raj), is also associated with the infamous terrorist Waseem Khan (Mukesh), who has ties to business magnate Shankar Singhania (Danny). Anjali decides to leave Rajashekhar after he murders Surya (Surendra Pal). Rajashekhar, with the help of some young men who had given up on joining the police service, was able to eliminate Shankar and Waseem Khan. When Anjali discovers her father's scandals, she reunites with Rajashekhar.

Rishtey (Prime Video; ShemarooMe [OTTplay Premium])

The action-drama film Rishtey was released by Indra Kumar on December 6, 2002. Anil Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Shilpa Shetty, and Amrish Puri starred in this Indra Kumar-directed movie, which was based on the 1987 film Over the Top. The film's box office take was about par.

Anil Kapoor's character, Suraj Singh, has feelings for Karisma Kapoor's character, the stunning and affluent Komal. Both Suraj and her haughty father, Yashpal Chaudhary (Amrish Puri), fantasise about starting a family together, but Suraj's middle-class background makes his haughty father hate him. Soon after marrying Suraj, Komal severs all relations with her father, and she becomes pregnant. At a family wedding, Komal and her father reunite, and her father forgives her for her sudden departure. On their way home, Yashpal and Suraj discover a seductress in Komal's robe, sipping tea, despite Yashpal's earlier agreement to meet with Suraj. Suraj walks into the house, oblivious to the fact that a stranger is there. The seductress admits to sharing Komal's spouse when Komal confronts her about it. Komal reaches her breaking point and contemplates ending her life, but Suraj intervenes and adamantly seeks to establish his innocence. It was all a plot by Yashpal to end their marriage, it turns out. Komal and her father abandon their marriage. She has a son, but Yashpal is hell-bent on getting rid of the one thing that could bring her daughter and Suraj back together as soon as possible. He arranges for assassins to murder the infant, but Suraj and his son are able to flee. He takes his son with him when they relocate to a new, unnamed area, and the locals help him raise him. Shilpa Shetty portrays Vaijanti, an eccentric fisherwoman whom Suraj's kid regards as a mother figure and a source of friendship. As Vaijanti grows to love Suraj, she wishes he could reciprocate her feelings. Despondent and lonely, Komal sees her son with Suraj. Komal and Suraj get into a heated custody dispute.

Phir Milenge (Prime Video)

The 2004 drama film Phir Milenge featured Shilpa Shetty, Abhishek Bachchan, and Salman Khan, helmed by Revathi. The AIDS-themed Hollywood film Philadelphia from 1993 served as inspiration for the movie. The film bombed at the box office, despite rave reviews when it came out. Shilpa received several Best Actress nominations and critical accolades for her breakout performance in Phir Milenge.

At the college reunion, Tamanna Sahni (Shilpa) reconnects with Rohit (Salman), her college love, and they share intimate moments. After a while, Rohit departs, and Tamanna returns to her regular schedule. She opts to donate her own blood after her sister Tanya's (Kamalini Mukherjee) injury. But her doctor, Dr. Raisingh (Revathi), tells her that she's HIV positive. For Tamanna, everything changes. A young lawyer named Tarun Anand (Abhishek Bachchan) comes to her rescue.

Dus (JioCinema; Prime Video; ShemarooMe [OTTplay Premium]; Lionsgate Play [OTTplay Premium])

Anubhav Sinha's 2005 action movie Dus is based on the experiences of seven fictional officers from the Indian Special Investigations Team (SIT). It features Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty, Esha Deol, Dia Mirza, Zayed Khan, and Raima Sen. Commercially and critically, it was a smashing success. Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, Raveena Tandon, and Salman Khan were all part of the 1997 film Dus, which was an ode to filmmaker Mukul S. Anand, who tragically passed away while shooting the film. The movie follows the fictional Anti-Terrorist Cell's (ATC) mission as Dutt and his team work to thwart a terrorist attack that Jamwaal, a notorious international criminal and terrorist, has planned. They have a deadline of seven days. The film's name explains the attack plot, set for May 10.

Life in a... Metro (Netflix)

Anurag Basu directed, co-wrote, and produced the 2007 drama film Life in a Metro. Billy Wilder's 1960 romantic comedy film The Apartment partly inspired the ensemble, which played the main roles of Dharmendra, Nafisa Ali, Shilpa Shetty, Kay Kay Menon, Shiney Ahuja, Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Kangana Ranaut, and Sharman Joshi. Pritam composes the music, while Sayeed Quadri writes the lyrics. Love, commitment phobia, extramarital affairs, and the sacredness of marriage are just a few of the themes explored throughout the lives of nine Mumbai residents.

Rohit Shetty produces it under the auspices of Rohit Shetty Picturez and Reliance Entertainment, setting it in the Cop Universe. Sidharth Malhotra, Vivek Oberoi, and Shilpa Shetty Kundra are the main actors in this series. The thrilling series Indian Police Force chronicles the terrifying adventures of Sidharth's Delhi Police Officer Kabir Malik as he fights a villain named Zarar, played by Mayyank Taandon, who has decided to become a terrorist. As this gripping police drama unfolds, witness the intense pursuit of justice and the selfless sacrifices made by police officers.
