Lock Upp day 27 written update: Ali Merchant safe from eviction, Shivam Sharma nominated

Day 27 in Lock Upp begins with Shivam Sharma talking to the cameras about taking the trophy home. Chetan Hansraj talks to Azma Fallah about how the inmates are licking Ali Merchant. Currently, Saisha Shinde is seen talking to him. Chetan and Azma then crib about Payal Rohatgi.

Meanwhile, Anjali Arora tells Poonam Pandey about how Azma made fun of her no-make up photo and the comments it is receiving. Poonam asks Anjali to ignore her.

Soon, Azma and Ali hide fruits. Nisha Rawal and Saisha discuss the strategy with Ali later. Payal then tell Karanvir Bohra that the two have sort some things out.

The two teams have a new task - to make coconut milk. Team Blue clearly wins the task. Poonam breaks down when that happens.

Mandana cribs about Payal in front of Ali and Saisha. She later talks about #SaveSangram. That is when Azma tries to stop her but Mandana does not stop. Azma then asks Mandana to talk about her personal life, when Payal talks about the domestic violence case Mandana filed against her husband.

Team Orange has to pick three people who will wash all vessels for three long days. Payal names Saisha, Chetan and Mandana. Saisha questions why Payal put her name in the punishment. Saisha ends up bringing aukaad and Payal walks out. Nisha picks Chetan, Mandana and herself. Chetan and Mandana pick Nisha, Payal and Azma. Payal, Chetan and Nisha get picked eventually.

Some time into it, Azma wets Mandana's bedding with water. Payal puts the blanket over her. Mandana takes Team Blue along and Anjali throws Payal's blanket away, which angers the latter. After Mandana realizes what has happened, she causes a chaos and Team Orange fights internally. Nisha throws Mandana's luggage around and Shivam roots for the fight.

Mandana then talks to Nisha about her extra-marital affair and claims the guy was on the show and the two were kissing again. Nisha tries to stay strong but breaks down when Shivam gives her a hug. Sara Khan and Saisha come for her too.

When Poonam starts giving out cuss words to Payal, Sara warns her not to use that language. Meanwhile, Munawar loses his calm on Azma stating people are fighting because of her.

Jailor Karan Kundrra meets the inmates virtually. He tells Payal about how Sangram Singh is supporting her from the outside. Karan then talks about jhol ghar and how five players can be a part of it. Payal takes fast food in exchange for salt in the house. Shivam breaks the rule and brings her fries for everyone. Saisha even shares her drink. Because of their acts, Shivam and Saisha go in solidary confinement. On other inmates' request, Karan lets them go free again. Saisha breaks down on hearing she can talk to her aai (mother).

The next offer is maincure and pedicure in exchange for using just one washroom in the common area till next notice. Saisha, Payal and Mandana go and Payal wins the buzzer round again.

As Karan leaves them alone, most of them crib about Payal, including Shivam and Saisha. Mandana then adds her opinion to that separately. Anjali ends up arguing with her too, when Mandana and Saisha walk away and sit back. Mandana breaks down too. Karan notices that and calls it beautiful to cry in 2022.

Next, Karan introduces a coffee maker to the orange block. Nisha refuses stating that the weather is bad for Team Orange to sleep outside their barracks. Payal asks Karan to punish Team Blue as well. He in turn says that everyone in Team Orange except the person who gets the coffee maker will sleep in the yard area indefinitely. Nobody goes for the buzzer nonetheless. Karan then asks Payal. She names Poonam, Munawar, Anjali, Karanvir, Chetan, Saisha and Mandana. He gives her the option to press the buzzer. Saisha goes first this time. She has to pick three people who will stay in the yard. She picks Azma, Nisha and Payal.

Azma and Ali talk to Payal about Saisha. Mandana and Team Blue then call Ali. She states that she cannot hear Payal's voice anymore. When Karan shows Nisha a video of Kaavish, she and Anjali break down. Anyone can get to make the video call but have to sacrifice one teammate who can't get access to jhol ghar there. Nisha refuses that. Ali and Azma break down hearing they get an opportunity to talk to their dear ones. As Shivam motivates Ali, the latter argues with Shivam. Ali and Azma go for the buzzer and he wins. He names Payal too. She says he's going to be in the chargesheet next. Ali gets to talk to his grandma and mother too. Anjali and Munawar cannot stop crying on hearing the voices. Ali's mother suggests him to be loud. Karan then says Ali's mother told him to give her love to Sara. She tries too hard not to cry. Munawar then reveals that he's crying because his ammi cannot give him a call. Karan also breaks down and leaves the room because of that. He comes to meet Munawar personally, while the other inmates try to calm him down. Karan says everyone is proud of Munawar and continues the tasks in the room.

The jailor brings in the power card. Nisha, Chetan, Mandana and Ali go for it. Mandana wins the task. She saves Ali from the chargesheet. In turn, she picks Shivam for the chargesheet (nominations for evictions). For the next week's chargesheet, she picks Payal, Azma and Karanvir. The Television actor picks on her and she says that he isn't getting out next week.

Ali throws Payal's blanket because she wastes food. She wants medicine in turn and screams for that. When Sara tries to explain him, he says he isn't interested in talking to her. The two end up arguing again. Meanwhile, Chetan asks Payal to breathe and relax and she ends up giving him a hug.

Anjali and Poonam stop Azma from taking her bedding. They then accompany her to the barrack and back to the yard area. Payal, on the other hand, tells the cameras that Anjali is trying to instigate her.

Munawar explains to Payal about how she initiated the torture on all inmates and thus, everyone is reacting. She keeps crying and declares she feels unsafe. Munawar tells her she is safe in the house.

Nisha throws yard property around to make way for ger sleeping area. Meanwhile, Azma tells Payal and her that the game will become worse from hereon.
