Lock Upp grand premiere: Here’s how Kangana Ranaut reacted when Payal Rohatgi named Gehraiyaan during an argument

Kangana Ranaut had a blowout with many Lock Upp contestants at the grand premiere but her most memorable moment remains the one with Payal Rohatgi, when the latter mentions Gehraiyaan. In the middle of an argument over another actress, Payal mentioned the movie that Kangana clearly isn’t fond of. The actress’ reaction as the story unfolded in front of her was unmissable.

Payal was actually mentioning how Kangana’s views on Alia Bhatt changed after Gangubai Kathiawadi’s release. While the two never stopped arguing over who was piggybanking who, Payal took another shot and mentioned Gehraiyaan.

A journalist had asked the actress about her changed views about AltBalaji. For the uninitiated, Payal had refused to work on Gandi Baat, which is an AltBalaji original.

When the question came her way, Payal instantly cited the example of Gehraiyaan. She said that if AltBalaji can make a Gandi Baat and wish to make a Gehraiyaan, they absolutely should and she would in fact want to be a part of it.

Seeing the situation and having her own views on Gehraiyaan, Kangana was also quick to react but silently. She rolled her eyes and straightened her hair, clearly bored and not one-bit surprised at the mention of the film.

When Gehraiyaan released, Kangana was quick to bash the millennial culture shown in the film. The actress did not mince her words and called the Shakun Batra directorial ‘trash’.

The movie starred and has been known for the lead actress Deepika Padukone. For the uninitiated, Kangana had her differences with Deepika in the past as well. She had accused Deepika of running a ‘business’ with her NGO Love, Live, Laugh.

Apart from Deepika, the Amazon Prime Video release starred Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ananya Panday and Dhairya Karwa in the lead roles. The movie has received mixed reviews from critics and audiences alike.
