Lock Upp: Kangana Ranaut is a glamorous, unforgiving jailer in new poster of Ekta Kapoor’s show

Kangana Ranaut is gearing up to don the avatar of an unrelenting captor on the upcoming, highly anticipated reality show Lock Upp, guaranteed to court controversy from day one. The makers have unveiled a new poster from the upcoming reality series, and Ranaut doesn't seem to tone down the glamour in this one either.

The poster, which can be viewed on Ranaut’s official Instagram handle, shows the star decked in a dazzling black and gold ensemble, complete with gold jewellery. She is seen waving a pair of handcuffs in her hands, keeping in line with her ‘jailer’ persona. As she stands in a hallway with jail cells on either side, we also get to see glimpses of the ‘inmates’, who are seen frantically waving their arms from in between the bars. They are seen holding several items in their orange-clad arms, burning papers and what seems to be hockey sticks as well. In the caption, the actress says that all the ‘captives’ are equal, expanding that they are all equally in danger from her.

A promo for the upcoming show had also been released recently, which shows Ranaut not mincing her words as she attacks several ‘B-grade’ celebrities in the industry, without naming them. In the promo, she also reiterates the accusations of nepotism and personal attacks against her, which she had shared on her social media before.

The upcoming reality show would involve 16 controversial celebrities being ‘locked up’, with host Ranaut holding immense power over their release. Audiences are also given opportunities in deciding the fate of the celebrities in varying degrees.

Lock Upp will start streaming on AltBalaji and MX Player from February 27. The show will be live-streamed 24/7 on the platforms.
