Love is a tonic that tests your patience, sometimes by leaving you longing for someone while they're alive and the other times by taking the love of your life. Sidharth Malhotra's Shershaah explored that love recently but long ago, Imtiaz Ali's film starring Ranbir Kapoor and Nargis Fakhri in the lead role explored incomplete, eternal love.

Love is the driving force for Jordan

Jordan (Ranbir) is passionate about music. He learns that he needs to break his heart in order to create the right music. Just then, he meets the girl of his dreams in Heer (Nargis). Since Heer is bound by societal pressure, she rejects Jordan instantly and then, time-and-again. Thus, something inside Jordan breaks but not enough to give up on his love.
