Loveyapa box office collection day 2: Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s film struggles to find audience on the second day itself

Loveyapa Box Office Collection Day 2: The buzz around Loveyapa, a film that marks the big-screen debuts of Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, was massive. Even though most of it was negative, the film still garnered attention. However, the hope that at least a portion of that buzz would translate into box office numbers was shattered on its first day of release. The next hope was that the film might pick up on its first Saturday as it entered the weekend. Unfortunately, Loveyapa has failed to create any magic on its second day either, and the graph is rapidly turning into a flat line.

Loveyapa Box Office Update

Directed by Laal Singh Chaddha fame Advait Chandan, the movie stars Aamir Khan’s son, Junaid Khan, and Sridevi’s daughter, Khushi Kapoor, in lead roles. Adapted from the English film Love Today, Loveyapa was released on the big screen on February 7, 2024. Now, as per the latest box office numbers, the film has not even managed to double its first-day earnings, which were already underwhelming. 

According to Sacnilk, Loveyapa earned ₹1.50 crore at the domestic box office on its second day. The film has shown little growth from day one, where it collected ₹1.15 crore. The total collection now stands at a disappointing ₹2.65 crore—an amount insufficient to sustain the film's theatrical run for long. All eyes are now on Sunday, Day 3, to see if the film can turn things around.

Loveyapa faced direct competition from Himesh Reshammiya’s Badass Ravi Kumar and Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar, which was re-released in IMAX. Additionally, Sky Force and Emergency are also running in theaters. However, the Junaid Khan-led film has just a week to redeem itself, as Chhaava, releasing on February 14, is expected to overshadow all other films in its path.

The film celebrates love in all its shades and aims to resonate with audiences of all ages. Loveyapa is anticipated to be one of 2025’s most exciting cinematic offerings.
