Lucifer: Where to watch Mohanlal, Prithviraj Sukumaran's thriller in Hindi and Telugu on OTT

Prithviraj Sukumaran and Mohanlal joined forces in 2019 to deliver a gripping thriller, Lucifer, which was also a winner at the box office. Fans were later informed that Lucifer is in fact the first part of a trilogy and the second installment is L2 Empuraan. As Empuraan release is just around the corner, it is time to revisit Lucifer. If fans from Hindi heartlands and Telugu states are looking for the dubbed versions of the Malayalam thriller, OTTplay has got you covered.  

Lucifer: Where to watch Mohanlal-Prithviraj's Malayalam thriller in Hindi and Telugu on OTT

The Hind-dubbed version of Lucifer, starring Mohanlal in the lead role, is available on Sony Liv with English subtitles. You can also watch Lucifer Hindi on OTTplay Premium. 

On the other hand, Telugu speakers can check out Prime Video for the dubbed version of Lucifer. Prime Video also has the original Malayalam and Tamil versions of the Prithviraj directorial. 

Lucifer is also re-releasing in theatres on March 20, 2025.

Lucifer plot and lead up to Empuraan

Lucifer begins with a prologue about an Interpol officer looking into reports about a mysterious figure. The film then takes us to Kerala, where the death of the Chief Minister PK Ramdas has led to a power vacuum in the state politics. Greedy family members, and opportunistic politicians try to leverage the grim situation to their advantage, but their attempts meet a strong opposition in Stephen Nedumpally.

As Lucifer ends, Stephen Nedumpally declares himself to be Khureshi Ab’raam. But who is this mysterious figure and how did Stephen end up becoming this overlord are questions that fans hope Empuraan will address. 

L2 Empuraan release

Meanwhile, L2 Empuraan will make its big release in theatres worldwide on March 27, 2025. The highly-anticipated film will have Mohanlal back in the lead role of Stephen aka Khureshi. Many of the cast from Lucifer are also part of Empuraan, including director Prithviraj as Zayed Masood, along with Tovino Thomas, Indrajith Sukumaran and Manju Warrier. L2E will also have new characters played by Suraj Venjaramoodu, Abhimanyu Singh and even Jerome Flynn.
