Fans have been waiting with bated breath to witness Powerstar Puneeth Rajkumar in his delightful God avatar in the film Lucky Man. Although the Nagendra Prasad directorial stars Darling Krishna, Sangeetha Sringeri, and Roshni Prakash in the lead, the film's main draw is the late superstar's cameo appearance along with the special dance number that features both Puneeth and dance legend Prabhudeva!
Well, the wait is finally over as Lucky Man gears up for a grand theatrical release on September 9. The makers of Lucky Man made the announcement recently (August 20) with a special poster which also revealed that the film cleared the censors with a U/A certificate.
Lucky Man comes as the remake of the hit Tamil film Oh My Kadavule which starred Ashok Selvan, Ritika Singh, Vani Bhojan, and others with Vijay Sethupathi playing a pivotal cameo role. The film follows the male protagonist's unique quest to mend his past mistakes as he chances upon God's special offer to go back in time and fix his bland past. The Kannada version will see Love Mocktail actor Darling Krishna play the male lead with Puneeth Rajkumar essaying the role of God. Actor and choreographer Nagendra Prasad makes his directorial debut with Lucky Man.
In other developments, latest reports have revealed that Kannada movie producer Jack Manjunath has acquired the distribution rights of Lucky Man. The Vikrant Rona producer, who has previously bankrolled films like Bhajarangi and Window Seat, will be distributing the upcoming film all across Karnataka.
One of Puneeth Rajkumar's final on-screen performances, Lucky Man is a special project for all the Powerstar fans who have been keenly looking forward to watching him in all his glory. The much-anticipated dance number featuring Prabhudeva and Puneeth has been titled Baaro Raaja and fans will be treated to the video version of the song on August 23, more than two weeks before the film's theatrical release. The music of Lucky Man has been composed by V2 Vijay Vicky with P.R. Meenakshi Sundaram and R. Sundara Kamaraj serving as the producers.
