According to reports, Rohit Saraf has been roped in to play Hrithik Roshan’s brother in Vikram Vedha, a remake of a Tamil film of the same name. The paperwork is already done and the actor has commenced prepping for his role in the film, said a source to Pinkvilla. It is also reported that actor Radhika Apte will play the female lead in this Pushkar-Gayatri directorial. She is expected to play the role of a lawyer in this gangster flick.
The source also said that Vikram Vedha will go on floors by the end of September and that the pre-production work is currently underway. It seems that the locations for all the indoor and outdoor shoots have been finalised.
Both Saif and Hrithik have undergone their looks tests and Hrithik is presently training to get his diction and body language right. He is undergoing gym training to get a perfect physique for the portrayal of the dreaded gangster. “He is very excited to explore this space,” the source added.
Vikram Vedha shoot is expected to be over by the end of this year and is aiming for a Gandhi Jayanti 2022 release. The movie is bankrolled by Neeraj Pandey under the banner of Reliance Entertainment. Once the movie is wrapped, Hrithik is said to reunite with his Bang Bang and War director, Sidharth Anand for Fighter. He will join Deepika Padukone for the very first time in this aerial-based action thriller. The film is said to ‘take off’ in the first quarter of 2022.
