The upcoming romantic comedy, which also features Dimple Kapadia and Boney Kapoor, will mark the first onscreen appearance of Ranbir and Shraddha together

Luv Ranjan is eyeing a Republic Day release for his upcoming directorial. The yet to be titled film, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, will be released in theatres on January 26, 2023.
The news was announced on the official Twitter handle of the director’s production company Luv Films, which he had founded along with Ankur Garg.
The upcoming film, touted to be a romantic comedy, will mark the first time Ranbir and Shraddha are paired on screen together. The movie is also the first time Luv has collaborated with Ranbir as well.
In addition to the two main leads, the film also stars Dimple Kapadia and Boney Kapoor. The film is bankrolled by Luv Films. Other details regarding the film’s premise and story are being kept under close wraps. The cast and crew of the film will reportedly finish the last leg of the shooting schedule at Delhi.
Earlier this year, the filmmakers had announced the film’s release to be in March 2022, coinciding with Holi. With the new release date, the film will clash with Siddharth Anand’s upcoming action flick Fighter, starring Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan.
As a director Luv is known for helming the hit comedies Pyaar Ka Punchnama and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety.
Meanwhile, Ranbir's upcoming releases include the Amitabh Bachchan-Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmāstra and Shamshera. In the latter the star will share the screen with Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt.
